December IWSG

The Insecure Writer’s Support Group

(And I'm insecure every time I try to post here. Don't know why it gives me so much trouble. Working on it.)

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen.

Our Twitter is @TheIWSG and hashtag #IWSG.

Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG Day post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say.

Remember, the question is optional!!!
December 2 question - Are there months or times of the year that you are more productive with your writing than other months, and why?

Mm, interesting question. I can't think of any special time of the year or months that my writing is more productive. I seem to take it by spells. For days, weeks I'll write, then I get tired or need a change and stop for awhile. Not long, usually a few days. I'll have to think about that.
Happy Writing.

And thank all these lovely co hosts for their work today.

The awesome co-hosts for the December 2 posting of the IWSG are Pat Garcia, Sylvia Ney, Liesbet @ Roaming About Cathrina Constantine, and Natalie Aguirre!

Have a super December.

  5. We all need those breaks or slow-down periods. Like Alex said, it's a good thing those breaks aren't very long.

    1. Yes, you are right, Diane. Mine get a bit lengthy sometimes but I figure I need the rest.

  9. When my kids were younger, there were definitely more definitive times. Now, it seems to be less so. Then again, I seem to move in fits and spurts these days, particularly during the holidays.

    1. I know what you mean, Karin. With no kids around I don't have much of a schedule. Just do something when I get the urge.

  10. A lot of my writing time corresponds to when I have more time off from my day job. When I am the busiest at work- I get the least amount of writing done. :)

    1. A day job doesn't leave much time for writing or other things we enjoy doing. When I was teaching I did ittle writing. Retirement is great. Have a good week. Thanks for stopping by.
