If you don't hear from me for awhile it's bcause my computer crashed and this old one has nothing up to date. I'm surprised it even works.Going to the computer repair man on Monday, I hope. The saddest thing and my own fault is that my latest story was not backed up.Thought I had plenty of time to worry about that. Half through with a few no tes. My fault. See you whenever.

An ancient Mayan civilization!

That's what Bubba and Squirt find when they travel through the mysterious vortex for another wild adventure. There they meet archeologists who are unearthing priceless artifacts.

But someone is stealing them. And an encounter with the Tate Duende awakens magic within Bubba. Throw in the mysterious Alux and a new discovery and things get sticky.

Will Bubba and Squirt solve the mystery, or will they be stuck forever in the jungles of Belize?

This is a delightful, fun, and adenturous story for all ages. Here are my thoughts.

By Sherry Ellis

If you’ve read the book Bubba and Squirt’s Big Dig to China, by Sherry Ellis, you met Bubba and Squirt, brother and sister, who dug a hole with the magic shovel Grandpa gave them and ended up in China. Well, they’re at it again. The latest adventure of the two explorers starts with a dream that Bubba has where his Great-Great-Grandpa Jacob tells him that it’s important to go down the hole again, but not to China. Who are they to argue with their Great-Great Grandpa? So, they're off again. This time they find themselves not in China but somewhere just as exciting, or perhaps even more so.

 Happy Reading.

Are you a grandparent? If so, today is your day to clebrate, like I'm doing. Yes, I am a grandmother, sometimes known as Mema. I have eight grandchildren, six girls and two boys. Some of these are step children but they are ours for sure.

But wait. That's not all. I have six great grandchildren. Four girls, two boys. When did that happen?

I don't see them very often, mostly on holidays, for they live from coast to coast.  I would post pictures, but they might not want me to. So I won't.

Anyhow, Happy Grandparents Day to all who are blessed with a wonderful family. Have a great day. If you're a young thing and don't have grands yet, they are something to look forward to.

Have a restful Sunday.

Alex J. Cavanaugh is the founder of IWSG. The purpose is to share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

His awesome co-hosts for the September 2 posting of the IWSG are PJ Colando, J Lenni Dorner, Deniz Bevan, Kim Lajevardi, Natalie Aguirre, and Louise - Fundy Blue!

Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG Day post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say. Remember, the question is optional!!!

September 2 question - If you could choose one author, living or dead, to be your beta partner, who would it be and why? This should be fun.

I posted early and will be back sometime to read. Have an appointment. You have a great day. (And if it all runs together, I've not figured out this new way of posting. Sorry. Will work on it.
