INSECURE WRITER'S SUPPORT GROUP

Welcome to the first Wednesday in May. Time does fly. I can hardly believe it. Let's see what's happening today.

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Ninja Alex J. Cavanaugh is the founder of the IWSG.

His awesome co-hosts for the May 2 posting of the IWSG are E.M.A. Timar, J. Q. Rose,C.Lee McKenzie, and Raimey Gallant!

Our Twitter is @TheIWSG and hashtag #IWSG

Every month, we announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG Day post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say. Remember, the question is optional!!!

May 2 question: It's spring. Does this season inspire you to write more than others, or not?

My thoughts.

Well, it might be the spring season, the warmer weather, the sunshine, or not, but lately I am more excited about writing. For awhile, I couldn't seem to get anywhere, just a bunch of scribbles was all I could accomplish. I'm way behind in what I had hoped to accomplish in the new year. The last week or so, my brain started working again, and I actually typed a few chapters. Oh, they'll need revising, but I at least have the ideas down. So, yes, I think I'm more inspired, whatever the reason.

How about you?

Happy Writing

  8. Awesome! Write away. Truth, I'm inspired pretty much any time I can get to a computer, so it really doesn't make a difference the time of year.

    1. Ha, ha! You are amazing, Crystal. I don't see how you find time to get to a computer with your lovely family. You must be well organized. Here's to finding lots of writing time.

  13. I'm not sure what season makes me write more. Probably fall because my daughter is back in school and I am relishing having a full workday again.

    1. I remember those days, except I was at school too, teaching. I wasn't writing much back then, mostly articles for children's magazines. It's nice to have the whole day to write.

  14. I think I write a bit more in the spring and summer. The longer days and lighter evenings make me more awake and ready to work. :)

    1. I like the longer days, too, Jess. There's something about the sunshine that makes it easier for me to write into the evenings. Everyone has their own schedule.
