JANUARY 29, A BUSY DAY!

Quote for the week:

Did you know that today is a holiday. Well, it's actually several holidays. January 29, 2018, is

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day
Curmudgeons Day
Freethinkers Day - (Also known as Thomas Paine Day)
Kansas Day
National Carnation Day
National Corn Chip Day
National Puzzle Day
Seeing Eye Guide Dog Birthday 1929

That is a bunch, so, which day do you plan to celebrate.

Me? I like the Seeing Eye Guide Dog Birthday. Wouldn't it be fun to bake a cake for these dogs that help so many people? Aren't they adorable?

The puppies likely are in training.

Have a great week.

Hopefully, I'll be writing.

It took me fifteen years to discover I had no talent for writing, but I couldn’t give it up because by that time I was too famous.

  2. My friend Rob has a guide dog called Finley. Rob and Finley are regulars at our local comedy club, where Finley will sit patiently on the floor all through the show, never moving or barking, despite the noise of the crowd and the occasional provocation from the acts on stage. Amazing!

    1. These dogs are fascinating, Julia. Some people should take a lesson from them. :) Patience is a virtue. Thank you for stopping by.

    1. I didn't realize it either, Natalie, until I read about the days on the Internet. I've started off writing good. One chapter today: my goal for each day. I've strayed away from my rough draft. Needed more background on the major character so the reader will care about him. Have a lovely week.

    1. I thought it was neat too, Karin. Yes, makes me want a dog, though I doubt the cats would be happy. Puzzles are fun. Good exercise for the brain too. Have a great week.

I'm marking Curmudgeon Day on my calendar. I want to celebrate that yearly. Thanks, Beverly.
