RAIN BRINGS FLOWERS THAT BRING A SMILE

Quote for the week:

Do you like rainy weather?
I do, as long as I can stay inside and watch it.
Here's one of the reasons why.

Our pasture is filled with flowers I call Rain Lillies.   A couple of days ago the rains came down. And the flowers sprouted up. The ground looks like a light snow has fallen.

Here is a closer look. This time of year, the wild flowers are gone, so these are a beautiful sight.  My pictures don't show them as lovely as they really are, but imagine almost 25 acres of white spread across the earth.

Have a great week. Happy reading and writing or just doing what your heart desires.

    1. The grass and weeds do like the rain, Diane. My yard is a jungle now. Waiting for son to mow it.

  3. Yes, we've had a lot of rain. I kind of wish it would let up because I really want to enjoy my pool some more before the summer is over.

    1. I can relate to that, Natalie. Our area went 5 years awhile back without rain. The lakes and ponds dried up. It was awful. Thankful that the rains have come again.

    1. It is, Pat. We used to have horses and they loved the pasture and grass. Now my son has to mow it. Glad your rain is the right amount. That's always nice.

    1. Mine, too, Karin. Grass should be green. When it's brown, it's so sad looking. :)

  9. I know rain is necessary, but I'm always ready for it to be gone once it starts. I hate driving in it!

    1. I'm with you, Stephanie. Driving in the rain is dangerous. I like it when I can stay home and just watch the rain and listen to it on the rooftop.

  10. Rain lilies look so pretty. I love to sleep when it is raining (the sound is lovely) and I do like that it helps water everything. But- I love the sunshine even more. :)
