BANNED BOOKS WEEK COMING SOON!

Quote for the week:  Aim above morality. Be not simply good, be good for something. Henry David Thoreau

I'm still working on the review I'd planned for today. I'm slow, but like the tortoise, I will get there.

Did you know that September 27th - October 3rd is banned book week? See what one librarian is doing to prepare for the event at School Library Journal. There you'll also find other interesting links.

Looking at the list just makes me want to read the books more. Some I have read; others not yet.

Have any of your books been banned?

Tiger was helping me type. He says "Goodbye."

Happy Reading!

  1. Not yet! I think that's a sign we've really made it, right? You can actually buy a bracelet on Etsy that has covers of books that have been banned. Search Etsy for "banned books bracelet." I saw it when I was looking for bracelets you can get made with your book covers on it (that was given at a conference this weekend to someone) and that came up as part of search results.

  2. It's a wonder they haven't banned my books, though I have never heard of Banned Book Week before.
Wonderful post and loved pussy at the end.

    1. I wonder if a book being banned makes it a best seller, Yvonne. :) Now you're heard of it. Thanks. Tiger says thanks too.

    1. Yes, they are, Karin. And I think it's wrong. Of course no one cares what I think.

  6. Tiger doesn't look happy.
If someone banned any of my books then it would be a sign of the apocalypse.

Tiger has a lot of health problems, but he does the best he can. I spoil him.

  8. I hadn't heard of Banned Books Week. No, my books are too tame to ever have that happen, but some of my favorite authors have been banned. (Sherman Alexie, Lois Lowry, Harper Lee, to name a few.

    1. My books are tame too, Elizabeth. I honestly don't understand why some of the books are banned. Shouldn't they ban a lot of the TV shows? :)
