I DIDN'T COUNT ON THIS

Welcome Wednesday!

Normally, I leave my Christmas tree up until New Year's Day. I just enjoy looking at it. This year, however, the tree had other ideas. This is what happened. So the tree is now in the garage.

Tiger looks guilty, but he's innocent. He and Patches were in the den with me when we heard it fall. The stand broke. It was old. Goodbye, dear tree. You were a good one.

Happy Reading!

    1. I would have blamed the cats too, Pat, if I hadn't known better.

    1. That would explain the tree and also other weird noises I sometimes hear, Darby. Maybe the ghosts from A Pirate have come back to haunt me.

  4. Ugh! Many years ago when my brother first got married their tree fell over three times, the third time was right after we all put it back up and redecorated. As we shut the front door to head out for dinner we heard it crash down again. We all just burst out laughing and headed out for dinner. Since then they have tied their tree to a nail in the wall.

    1. Three times, Donna? You all have more patience than I have. Sometimes you just have to laugh. I might have put mine back up, but we'll be at the granddaughter's for Christmas and the cats won't care. :)

  5. Sorry about the tree. Should be able to find a new stand after the holidays when everything is marked down. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    1. Thanks, Susanne. No one will be here anyway, except the cats. I'm going to my granddaughter's for dinner. Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year.
