I belong to a great group on Good Reads. Many of you may already be a member too. In case you haven't heard of it, here's a bit of information. It's called YA Reads for Teachers (And Any Other Adults.) Like my heading says. Here is some of what you'll find there.

Giveaways: I've won two books so far. And the authors have spent a month visiting with the group to talk about and answer questions about their books.

Guest Authors: Here are some who've shared their time and books with us.
April 2012 - OyMG by Amy Fellner Dominy
May 2012 - Pinch Hit by Tim Green (shout out to Illyssa Green..behind every great man...right?)
June 2012 - Mercy Lily by Li sa Alberts
July 2012 - Lost in the River of Grass by Ginny Rorby
August 2012 - Summer on the Moon by Adrian Fogelin
September 2012 - Bigger than a Bread Box by Laurel Snyder
October/November 2012 - A Catastrophe of Nerdish Proportions (Nerds Girls, #2) by Alan Lawrence Sitomer
November 2012 - Dark Water by Laura McNeal

I'm reading The Raven Boys since I already had it in my TBR stack.

Here's also the page to introduce yourself.

Hope to see you there.

Happy Reading.

  1. I've heard of Good Reads through a lot of other authors. Sounds like some interesting books.

  2. Thanks for signing up to announce my book, Beverly.

Good year to read Ender's Game since the movie comes out soon.

  3. Good Reads is fun, Susanne, but it can be time consuming. I haven't belonged to this group long, but they giveaway books that are being discussed (if you're lucky to win one) and the authors sometimes visit and answer questions. I post most of my reviews there too.

I didn't know they were making a movie of Ender's Game. Will watch for it.
